April 28th was nothing short of a blessing. With blue skies above and a warm breeze guiding each swing, we gathered at The Woods Resort Golf Course in Hedgesville for the inaugural “Links of Love” Golf Tournament—a joyful day celebrating the life-changing mission of Mary’s Refuge.
Fifteen teams came together in fellowship and fun, teeing off at 10:00 AM under picture-perfect conditions. At the end of the day, the team of Mike Arndt, Adam Arndt, Mike Piazza, and Tom Costigan, proudly sponsored by Cornerstone Realty Management, walked away with the top prize and a well-earned invitation to the Woods Resort’s Tournament of Champions.

Our morning began with delicious breakfast offerings courtesy of Chick-fil-A of Martinsburg, as golfers arrived to register, pick up their Mulligans, place their silent auction bids, and try their luck at the 50/50 raffle. When the final putt was made, the Tomahawk Ruritan Club welcomed players back with a warm, home-cooked luncheon featuring pork barbecue, fried chicken, and all the comforting fixings—mac and cheese, green beans, coleslaw, iced tea, and an array of homemade desserts.
