At Mary’s Refuge, we believe in the power of compassion and community to make an everlasting impact on those who need it most. We are excited to introduce Cradle Club, our foundational initiative embodying the spirit of support and hope for expectant mothers seeking a hand-up.
The Cradle Club's mission is simple: to bring together 200 caring individuals or businesses who can each contribute $1,000 to provide vital assistance to mothers-to-be in need.
With your support, we can offer 2 years of safe housing and structured support that these courageous mothers-to-be deserve. All while helping them find and thrive in independence.
The Impact

Your contribution to the Cradle Club will help us make a lasting impact on the lives of expectant mothers, giving them the opportunity to build a brighter future for themselves and their babies. This foundational fund will be used to directly support our expectant Mothers by covering:

- Maternity Home Utilities
- Transportation
- Stable Staffing

Our work is only possible because of private donors like you who go the extra mile. This ministry is foundational in helping young mothers find themselves, build a path to self-sufficiency and prepare for all that motherhood will be.
Mary’s Refuge is a 501(c) (3) ministry of St. Joseph Parish and the Diocese of Wheeling-Charleston, West Virginia. We rely solely on private donations and all donations directly serve our mothers and their children. All donations are tax-deductible.

Mary’s Refuge is a sanctuary for young expectant mothers who need a hand up. Our community-building program provides a stable, safe place to live during pregnancy, access to resources for prenatal care and counseling, along with career and educational opportunities.
Our 100% Pro-Life Maternity home is a place where young soon-to-be mother’s facing fear and anxiety can find a supportive and nourishing environment to anchor themselves. Mary’s Refuge acts as a gateway to motherhood, where women receive emotional, physical and spiritual support as they navigate the challenges of pregnancy and motherhood.
