What you can expect at Mary's Refuge:

Space to heal and resources to help young mothers thrive. This is what Mary’s Refuge is focused on providing. We’ll help you navigate pregnancy and focus on preparing for one of the most rewarding and challenging chapters of your life ahead. Through our community-focused programs, we help motherhood blossom through:

Mary's Refuge
Mission

9 rooms. 1 mission.

Mary’s Refuge is a sanctuary for young expectant mothers who need a hand up. Our community-building program provides a stable, safe place to live during pregnancy, access to resources for prenatal care and counseling, along with career and educational opportunities.

Our 100% Pro-Life Maternity home is a place where young soon-to-be mother’s facing fear and anxiety can find a supportive and nourishing environment to anchor themselves. Mary’s Refuge acts as a gateway to motherhood, where women receive emotional, physical and spiritual support as they navigate the challenges of pregnancy and motherhood.

Our Embrace

Stepping forward without judgment, we make way for safety and stability; structured support to cultivate healthy growth and self-value through independent living.

Life

Honoring the miracle of birth, and that the potential of a unique person is evident and tangible.

Mother

Helping young women transition into nurturer and guardian, filled with hope and love.

Child

A gift, real and tangible – filled with opportunity and wonder.

“Mary’s Refuge embraces the gift of life. We provide a haven of hope and support for both mother and child, where every heartbeat is cherished and every story is a testament to the beauty of choosing love.”

- Allison Ferrell, Director

Safe Haven

Mary's Refuge is here to help you address the crisis you’re in. Together with our staff, you develop a plan to build the future you and your child deserve - starting with a stable place to eat, sleep and nurse.

Prenatal Care

Helping each client access the medical care she needs for a healthy pregnancy, labor, and baby, including prenatal care, postnatal care, well baby check-ups, dental care, vision, and more, as needed.

Aftercare

Support continues after you have successfully moved out of the maternity home to solidify the foundation you’ve built and create a better future for you and your child. The Aftercare program continues the life skills courses, counseling, and case management services received at the maternity home.

Who Can Apply

Expectant mothers, aged 18 and older, who are motivated to make positive changes in their life.

Applicants must be:

We are a Program that is applied to, not a shelter. As a Program, there are house rules and expectations that you self-determine with guidance from our team.

Referrals are welcome, with the understanding the prospective guest will freely and willingly initiate a call to Mary’s Refuge. This is the beginning step to self-determination.

House Rules

House rules to be followed are based on daily living and include:

The atmosphere is set up as a home, with a community kitchen, private bedrooms for each family, a child playroom based on Montessori principles, as well as class space, and a job/work center. Mary’s Refuge has partnerships with the community at large for resources to assist you in meeting your needs.

Mutual respect between guests of Mary’s Refuge, staff and volunteers is expected at all times.
