I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself. As I step into my new role as the Director of Mary’s Refuge, I bring with me a wealth of experience and a heart dedicated to nurturing and empowering those in need.

With a decade-long tenure at St. Joseph School, where I served as a teacher and preschool director, I have honed skills that are directly transferable to my new responsibilities. Guiding young minds through their early years taught me the importance of patience, empathy, and fostering an environment of growth and learning. I am excited to channel these qualities into ensuring that Mary’s Refuge remains a haven of support for mothers-to-be, fostering an atmosphere of trust and encouragement.

My journey as the coordinator of the St. Joseph Angel’s ministry, for 16 years, has allowed me to work with the same population we now serve at Mary’s Refuge and has shaped my commitment to serving the community..

Through this role, I have extended a helping hand to mothers in vulnerable situations, embracing the values of compassion and solidarity. This experience has further fueled my passion for creating an environment at Mary’s Refuge where every mother feels valued, understood, and equipped to navigate the challenges ahead.

On a personal note, I am celebrating 25 years of marriage and am blessed with three wonderful children. We moved to West Virginia in 2006 and have attended St. Bernadette’s Catholic Church in Hedgesville. I love gardening, cooking, traveling and spending time with family and friends.
