This year’s Mother’s Day celebration at Mary’s Refuge was filled with laughter, joy, and heartfelt connection as we gathered with residents, volunteers, and friends for an unforgettable evening. Our Fiesta Bingo theme brought the perfect mix of fun and festivity to the occasion — and let’s just say, everyone loved it! From colorful decorations to spirited bingo rounds, the room was buzzing with energy and excitement.
Dinner was generously donated by Las Trancas on Foxcroft Avenue in Martinsburg, and we are beyond grateful for their incredible support. The food was delicious and truly made the evening feel special. It was a beautiful reminder of how local businesses can make a big impact by partnering with community organizations like ours.
We were also blessed to have helping hands from the St. Joseph Adult Youth Group, who volunteered their time and hearts to make sure everything ran smoothly. Their presence brought so much warmth and encouragement to the evening, and we’re so thankful for their continued support.
Throughout the night, guests enjoyed fellowship, connected through shared stories, and tried their luck at our basket raffles. Thanks to the generosity of our community, we raised $800 to support the mission of Mary’s Refuge — providing safe housing, prenatal care, and aftercare services for young mothers and their children.
